The slide-show on the right gives you a glimpse of the spectacle that is Speedweek. Great people, great machinery and huge speed - the "Hot Rod Trophy" for this year went to the Speed Demon, which also recorded the top exit-speed of 401-mph.

Haven't been there yet? You may want to make plans for 2010. Doug Herbert plans to have his LSR Streamliner there, facing plenty of other new competition.

I'll tell you what - this will not be MY last trip to the salt!. Clare
